Riverside To Set Up Service Mall

The city of Riverside, a couple of hours east of Los Angeles, is going forward with their much touted homeless service mall, so reports the Press-Enterprise. Like many other communities outside of Los Angeles, homelessness is increasing dramatically. But to thwart any reactive solutions—like a Tent City in the city of Ontario, another city east of L.A.—Riverside is trying to be proactive.

The goal of this Riverside service mall is to centralize their homeless services, and then link them to permanent housing. They are using the PATH Mall as the model. The city recently purchased the land, and will be developing the site. It is in an industrial area, so the NIMBY issues should not be a problem.

It’s great to see cities become more proactive.

Did you read the article? Only 10% find housing and that is forced 12 step religion, over crowded mats & bunk bed housing, with rotten food bank food.

We do not use the homeless service, if you can call them that. We live off the land and love pissing the rich off. I loved watching their homes burn, love it!

I was watching the fires and a couple by me said to each other "what are we going to do" and then they looked a me and I said " you're looking at the answer" and I laughed as their house and possessions went up in flames; I just laughed!
