How A Homeless Person Brings Down A Governor…
CNN is reporting that the young woman linked to New York Governor Eliot Spizer was formerly homeless at one time. The governor’s escapade with this high-priced call girl cost him his powerful job.
With another month to go before the Pennsylvania primary, the media is desperate for other juicy political news. So now that the governor has resigned, the media is frantically looking into this call girl’s past. And low and behold, we find out she was formerly homeless.
She is quoted in the article: "…Learned what it was like to wake up one day and have the people you care about most gone. I have been alone. I have abused drugs. I have been broke and homeless. But, I survived, on my own. I am here, in NY because of my music."
As if it is really national news to find out what her background is. I’m sure the media is not going to “investigate” the deep roots of why we have homelessness in America. I guess sex, power, and money is more news worthy.
