Today, leaders in Los Angeles highlighted St. George Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. It is a trendsetting housing facility that provides permanent supportive housing. With the support of Enterprise Community Partners, this new housing development has the first solar electric system for low-income, multi-unit housing on the West Coast.

Kudos to the Skid Row Housing Trust, the owners and operators of the building. Although I’m surprised that this is the first of its kind. You would think green technology, like this, would have been used more frequently.
