However, the article states that illegal immigrants are not using the existing homeless service system, because they are afraid of being caught.
Again, I think we need to stop pointing the blame finger at everyone else… other states are sending their homeless to L.A., and now other nations are sending their homeless to L.A.
Instead, let’s garner our resources, provide visionary leadership, and put an end to the embarrassing state of homelessness in

I met one illegal homeless person, but then again, I don't think to question people's status, he voluntered the info. Said he was orphaned, no relatives, from El Salvador, deported, and had just snuck back in. Never saw him again after that meeting. I've worked with a couple of illegal immigrants, the only reason I'd know this is they got caught. They weren't homeless, they lived with friends or relatives.
Recently read an article about illegal consturction workers, they said it's easy to get fake ID, green card/social security number, for $200. on the streets of NYC. Who's to say, the illegal immigrants don't use the services, using fake ID's.
They do contribute to homelessness in LA. By working "under the table", the company does not hire citizens, (taxes, you see). I've known many trying to get construction jobs, and could not. This also brings the pay wage down for legimate businesses. People can not afford housing on minimum wage.
A lot of the border crossers come not to work, but to sell drugs. They need to hook people in order to have customers, hooked people often end up homeless.
There are many non-English speaking people using the Homeless services, staying in the shelters, eating at the "soup kitchens", getting food & clothes at the give-aways. They may have immigrated legally, I won't know.
I know Long Beach took a number of New Orleans homeless. Many of the homeless I know weren't "sent" here, by their states, they came, fugitives from justice, Vets, because the LB hospital is better than in their state.

I have enormous concerns about illegal immigration. I see it as one of the great causes of my generation. It is right up there with terrorism. If we fail to act. If we fail to prevent the Third World from flooding into our grat land we will be culturally destroyed. The United States of America became the great nation that it is because it was founded by WESTERN MAN. Each time we allow someone to come to our shores who is not WESTERN, we shake the very foundation that is who we are. Islam does not have the capacity to write an American Constitution, yet some think a Muslim can come to America and our nation will be no different. It will be different. With each non western body on our land it becomes more and more different. If we do not act to stem this illegal immigration from every corner of the globe, we will perish. Our culture will be destroyed if we allow this nation to grow by another 100 million non western people over the next 50 years.
